What’s new and plans for the future

The centre is well maintained and each year refurbishment and additions are made.
In 2008 a new central heating system was installed being much more convenient than the previous system
In 2009 all the mattresses and pillows were replaced
In 2010 some major additions will take place. A new commercial microwave has been added to the kitchen courtesy of a grant from the Community fund; Broadband internet connection has been installed as a result of a BT community connections grant and is available for use by groups at an additional charge. This is a wireless connection for use with laptops. The telephone can receive incoming calls but with the exception of emergency calls out going calls can not be made.

In March 2010 a new range, oven and extract system have been installed in the kitchen along with a new fridge feezer and the ground floor will be re-carpeted later in the year. Future plans are to add a conservatory at the rear of the building to add some more space and a general refurbishment of the decoration on the first floor. The dining room and kitchen windows are planned to be replaced before the end of 2010.

Nearby attractions include:

The Delf - a beautiful public open space of 11 acres, including nature walks and a large grassed playing area.
